Just one of the two Tui on the bush next to the balcony. This was not zoomed at all, that's just how close she (mum decided it was female) was.

Ah nice! I've been trying to get shots of animals a fair bit recently; squirrels, rabbits, misc. birds. Well done getting so close for a shot! :)

Thanks. I would've loved to get a better shot, but they both (Male and Female) move so so fast, even when they're eating.

To tell you the truth, I wanted to reach out and scoup her up since she was so close.

:giggle: true. at first, the only way they'd let me take a photo was through the window, which was really dirty, but they finally felt that the camera wouldn't harm them in any way, so I was able to get a few photos from the balcony.

every time i try shooting birds they always fly off or move into a position that just does not work.

i know right? i been trying to get a good shot of this white pigeon where i volunteer but the thing keeps being rather difficult

Aww no :( the ones that live in the Hamilton gardens over here are so used to hundreds of people that they don't fly away at all. They stay in one spot for ages.
